Overall this painting is in excellent condition. Minor rub along the top, right and bottom edges have resulted in some very minor loss but the canvas is otherwise bright and clear. Under UV scattered inpainting is evident in the sky, mid section, and along the right edge. The gilt frame is splitting in all four corners and exhibits some flaking and wear and tear, but is stable and otherwise in excellent condition. Signed lower left: ABierstadt
