This lot features 7 recto-verso drawings and 3 recto drawings all unframed in mats. The drawings appear to fair condition with all exhibiting buckling of the paper, yellowing and discoloration commensurate with age. Some exhibit foxing and staining and one of the recto-verso drawings has the following tears: a 2 1/4 inch tear along the mat edge, a 1 3/4 inch horizontal tear at the upper side mat edge, and 1 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch vertical tears at the top. The mats which came with this collection are are in poor condition with various mats exhibiting staining, tears, and crumbling at the edges. Correspondence from the curators at the Frederic Remington Art Museum, which supports the attribution, is available by request.
