The painting appears to be in good condition with craquelure throughout (the paint layer appears stable), a stretcher bar indentation and gold leaf transfer along the upper edge, a 11 inch x 3 1/2 inch dark vertical stain running along the left side 41/2 inches from the frame edge, and a small hairline crack at the lower right. The painting was viewed under blacklight and does not show any indication of inpainting. The frame appears to be in good condition with a small chip loss at the lower left corner and miter splits at the lower left and upper right corners.
