Overall this painting is in excellent condition. Under UV scattered inpainting is evident throughout the top half of the canvas, concentrated in the trees and sky. There is a small spot in the upper left corner, evidence of grime on the surface of the canvas, as well as some visible warping throughout. The gilt frame is splitting in the corners and has scattered cracks and wear and tear, but is stable and otherwise in excellent condition. Signed lower left: Rosa Bonheur
