Condition
Overall this painting is in excellent condition. The canvas exhibits craquelure throughout, as well as a few small stains along the right edge, and minor loss from frame rub along the bottom. Under UV small spots of scattered inpainting are evident in the sky; and patches of overpainting in the bright white of the sky in the upper left corner and on the bright white accents of the sheep. The gilt frame is stable and in excellent condition. Signed lower right: C. Rungius
