Condition
Overall this painting is in excellent condition. There is a horizontal scratch in the varnish over one of the horses, but the panel is otherwise bright and clear. Under UV two small spots of inpainting are evident in the lower right and snow in the bottom left. A few patches of adhered fibers also fluoresce under UV in the upper right.
